After troopers responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in the Town of Wappinger on Sunday, Jan. 14, the investigation revealed that Thomas J. Scianna of Wappingers Falls engaged in a physical altercation with the victim, in the presence of a child, police said. Scianna was also at the residence in violation of a duly served order of protection.
Scianna was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree as well as endangering the welfare of a child and harassment in the second degree.
Scianna was arraigned before the Village of Wappingers Falls Court, and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash or $10,000 bond. Scianna’s next appearance was scheduled for Jan. 18.
